The short version
Swiss Medica has strong brand recognition in the European market. TurkeyStemcell typically delivers similar Wharton's Jelly MSC protocols with clearer all-inclusive pricing and shorter waiting times.
Both clinics treat international patients with allogeneic mesenchymal stem cell therapy. Swiss Medica operates a clinic in Belgrade under the Swiss Medica brand. TurkeyStemcell operates in Istanbul under Turkish Ministry of Health licensing. The most-cited patient differences are pricing transparency and the speed at which a program can be scheduled.
Patients who typically choose TurkeyStemcell

- Patients who want to schedule within 2–4 weeks

How we wrote this comparison
Both clinics use the same broad class of therapy (allogeneic MSCs). Outcome claims should be evaluated against published evidence — not against either clinic's marketing. We publish our cited research in the conditions section and encourage patients to ask Swiss Medica or any other clinic for the same level of citation.
Information about Swiss Medica is drawn from publicly available sources as of 2026. Where we are unsure, we say so. We do not make outcome claims for any clinic — ours or theirs.
Questions patients ask when comparing us
Is Belgrade or Istanbul better for stem cell therapy?
Neither city is inherently better — the right answer is the one with the protocol, transparency and cost structure that fits your situation. Istanbul has a larger medical-tourism infrastructure; Belgrade is closer for some Central European patients.
Why is the price gap so wide?
Operational overhead, marketing spend, and bundling structure. Our model is direct-to-patient with a single all-inclusive price; Swiss Medica's public pricing has historically been tier-built during consultation.
How do I know your published cell counts are real?
Every TurkeyStemcell program includes a written Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for each batch — covering total viable MSC count, viability percentage, sterility, mycoplasma, endotoxin and surface-marker panel (CD73/CD90/CD105 positive; CD34/CD45 negative). Patients receive the CoA before infusion. We encourage every prospective patient to ask any clinic — ours or a competitor's — for the same documentation.
Is it safe to travel internationally for stem cell therapy?
Yes, when the destination clinic operates under a recognized regulatory framework with transparent protocols and documented cell characterization. Our Istanbul facility is Turkish Ministry of Health-licensed; cells are processed in a GMP-compliant lab. Many international patients fly home within 48 hours of infusion.
